為滿足亞太地區(qū)市場對日益增長的對巧克力的需求，自1997年百樂嘉利寶在新加坡建立了其在亞太地區(qū)的第一家巧克力工廠，現(xiàn)在亞太區(qū)已有4個工廠（蘇州、新加坡、日本和馬來西亞）。蘇州新廠位于蘇州工業(yè)園區(qū)內(nèi)，于2008年1月9日在蘇州正式開業(yè)，總投資約4700萬美元，年產(chǎn)巧克力原料可達25000噸，到2011年左右，公司還計劃將年產(chǎn)能提高三倍。在蘇州工廠生產(chǎn)的巧克力產(chǎn)品供應(yīng)中國市場外，還將出口到亞太區(qū)的27個國家，80%的產(chǎn)品出口到12個主要市場包括澳大利亞、印度、日本、馬來西亞、新西蘭、韓國、泰國和南非。
